GIS Technician - Fulfill map, data, and analysis requests from customers as assigned. Ensure that all contracts and developer projects are digitized and input into the database in a timely and high-quality manner. Monitor and participate in the quad map review process, to ensure that maps are accurate, complete and neat, in an efficient manner and are readily available to front-counter staff. Research and correct errors found in the database from the quad review process or other sources. Create documentation and specialized scripts, macros or tools as needed to ensure efficient, consistent and reliable results. Update engineering drawings using AutoCAD.

NORTH LAS VEGAS, North Las Vegas, NV, 2007

GIS Technician - Acted as a GIS resource for other departments. Semiannually, download aerial photos from the county, mosaic sections into larger areas and load them into an ArcSDE raster catalog. Created a personal geodatabase and digitized polygons for Code Enforcement boundaries. Set up a file geodatabase for the Parks and Recreation Department and digitized a variety of features to demonstrate asset management with GIS. Digitized and attributed Building Inspection boundaries for Community Improvement. Created a Recolor tool in ArcMap to easily match graphics symbols in the legend with layers that use transparencies.

CITY OF HENDERSON, Henderson, NV, 2006-2007

GIS Intern - Used ArcGIS to georeference and digitize water and sewer features from engineering drawings. Collected GPS points. Developed ArcObject tools based on AutoCAD functionality to quickly georeference engineering drawings with as little as one known point. Utilized PDF-Tools and Excel to automate generation of links to other files from a PDF index map. Involved in project for tracking inter-local and refunding agreements using GIS.

GIS Intern - Primary duties were to digitize water features from engineering drawings using AutoCAD, attribute the features, and check and correct data in both digital and paper format.
